Incorrect Card Grade
Was your card listed with the wrong grade?
That's okay! While sellers are responsible for following our guidelines when listing cards, mistakes can happen. And fortunately, we have a policy in place to help buyers and sellers resolve disputed card grades. To help you and the seller come to an agreement on the correct grade, please consult our Card Condition reference guide.
Contact the Seller
The first and most important thing for buyers to do if they believe their card was incorrectly graded is contact the seller. They sent the card and are the responsible party for an incorrect grade. Many times, just talking to them about the issue will often lead to a friendly solution.
Cardmarket Recommendation
If you can't resolve the dispute initially, we recommend a 10% product value refund per difference in grading level, which you can see in the chart below.
The buyer might not accept this compromise if the card is "played" or "poor." We encourage users to talk and find their own solution when the 10% rule isn't appropriate.
Still Can't Reach an Agreement?
If you can't reach an agreement with our recommendation or on your own, contact our customer support through the order page and we'll help resolve the situation.
